Recap:

The Baldwin-Wallace women and the Ohio Northern men captured team titles at the 2007 Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, staged on a chilly and overcast Saturday at Highland Golf Course in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Baldwin-Wallace women won their 15th overall title, and first since 2002, on the strength of five runners in the top ten. By scoring 27 points, the Yellow Jackets established the largest margin of victory (58) points in an OAC women's championship meet. Otterbein (85), Mount Union (95), Ohio Northern (101) and John Carroll (107) rounded out the top five.

Senior Lindsay Brickner charged past Otterbein's Niki Reese in the final 400 meters to win medalist honors. Brickner finished with a winning time of 23:19.03.

The 90th running of the OAC Men's Cross Country Championship produced a slice of history, as Ohio Northern won its first team title in school history in a closely contested race. The Polar Bears tallied 38 points to edge Heidelberg (48) and two-time defending champion Mount Union (50). Otterbein (119) and Baldwin-Wallace (140) rounded out the top five.

Junior Jimmy O'Brien became Ohio Northern's first medalist since Mike Becraft in 1978 by winning the 8,000-meter race in 23:53.29 -- 16 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Heidelberg's Scott Lasch and Dan Simpson were the next two runners across.
