Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The mission of the John Carroll University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting student-athlete welfare; and fostering a positive student-athlete image, while maintaining the tenants of the Division III philosophy.

At John Carroll, the SAAC consists of a student-athlete from each varsity team, an athletic trainer, and a cheerleader representative. The Committee will have two student-athletes from each team to serve on the committee. When that particular student-athlete graduates, the team will select a new member to serve on the council for the following year. The representatives must be of sophomore standing (or higher) to be considered.

The council will meet twice a month except when special situations arise that need to be dealt with urgently.
