Women to Race in Boston
varsity rowers

The Varsity Women’s four will represent John Carroll University at the Head of the Charles (HOCR) in Boston October 18-19.

The Head of the Charles is the largest two day regatta in the world. The two day event will see over 7,500 athletes competing in 55 different races.

The team is led by their captain Junior Jill Kaiser, who broke the 5,000m record last week by pulling an individual time of 20:04.

This will mark the second straight year the Varsity Women will row at the HOCR. Last year the team raced in the Women’s Club 8+ event. This year, a smaller, more focused team will tackle the challenge of this world class event.

The women will race forty other boats in the Women’s Club 4+ event at 11:58am on Saturday October 18.
