Opening Practice a Success for Women's Lacrosse
Womens Lax Huddle 2
After fielding such a young team last year, head coach Heather Englander is excited about the strong core of returning players this season.

With approximately 27 players coming out for the team this year, the depth of talent across the board has been exciting. "It's great to see that type of turnout," said Englander. "We look 100 times better at this point than we did last season."

Leading the team are seniors Becky Szpalik, Caitlin Overdorf, Maura Neumeister and Tara Zempel. The junior class is a strong group led by Maggie Tierney, Ellen Neumeister and Anna McQuire.

After such a huge freshman class last season, there are alot of returners, forming a "strong, cohesive group."

The incoming class is just as exciting as their predecessors, featuring Kelly Vogt, a sophomore transfer from Denison University.

The Women's Lacrosse Team opens their season with Kent State on February 11th.
