Streaks Stopped!

Streaks look ahead to league play, after a disappointing weekend
John Carroll was swept this weekend going 0-3 to fall to 1 -4 on the season.  After a promising season opening win on the road the Streaks have been streaking in the wrong direction.  Friday at #13 Kent State, JCU was pounded 9-1. T he young squad was overwhelmed by the pace of the game and were unable to mount any answer to the Kent State attack.  Saturday JCU travelled to Wooster, OH to take on Adrian College in the Battle of Ohio.  The Streaks were hammered again losing 9-2.

"The team needs to make better adjustments throughout the game and play better defense if we're going to compete at this level,” stated Coach Wilk. "The vets need to lead this young team and unfortunately that didn't happen this week."

Skating with only 14 skaters on Sunday JCU faced league rival
Youngstown State and fell 4-2. The game roster included a few healthy scratches.

Senior Goalie Nick Fabrizio (Chicago, IL) faced over 100 shots on weekend in net. "We're young. We've got a few guys out with injuries. We'll be OK," stated Nick.

The Streaks travel to W&J to open up league play Saturday.

The first home weekend is October 16 vs #16 UM-Dearborn at
8:10pm and Saturday October 17 vs Youngstown State at 6pm.
