John Carroll junior setter Meredith McDiarmid was selected to the 2009 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Team by the league's ten head coaches, marking her second consecutive appearance as a member of this elite unit.

In playing all 29 matches this season, McDiarmid would earn second team All-OAC accolades thanks to her 9.11 assists per game and 0.42 service aces per game that ranked her third and sixth in the league in those categories, respectively.

McDiarmid also tallied 176 kills and 43 blocks this season, which were career bests. She was the lone Blue Streak selected to the 2009 All-OAC Volleyball Team.

John Carroll completed the 2009 campaign with a record of 12-17 overall and 4-5 (T-6th) in the OAC.
