The eight teams which captured regional championships this past weekend will now make their way to John Carroll University to determine a national champion as the 2009 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship will be held November 19-21 at the DeCarlo Varsity Center in University Heights, Ohio.
What began as a 62-team field has been pared down to eight following three rounds of regional action. Emerging as the regional champions are
Colorado College,
Washington University (MO),
Hope College (MI),
Tufts University (MA),
Juniata College (PA),
Trinity University (TX),
Christopher Newport University (VA) and the
University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Action will get underway Thursday, November 19, with four national quarterfinal matches. At 12:30 p.m., Washington will face off against Colorado. Hope will match-up with Tufts in the 3:00 p.m. contest. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Juniata and Trinity will sqaure off in the third quarterfinal round pairing of the day. The final match Thursday, set for an 8:00 p.m. start, will feature Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Christopher Newport.
Friday's semifinal matches will be played at 4:30 p.m. (the Washington/Colorado winner vs. the Hope/Tufts winner) and 7:00 p.m. (the Juniata/Trinity winner vs. the UW-Oshkosh/Christopher Newport winner)

Tickets for the 2009 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship are now on sale at John Carroll for the national quarterfinal, semifinal and championship matches. An All-Tournament Pass (good for all seven matches over the three days) can be purchased at $15 or adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, and $7 for children under 12. An Single-Day Pass (good for any one of the three days) can be purchased at $7 or adults, $4 for students and senior citizens, and $3 for children under 12.
