The players for John Carroll Hockey have quite a busy schedule each season with practice, games, video and school work. They do, however, find the time to give back to the hockey community. Each Saturday the players and staff donate their time to run the Learn to Play Hockey Program at Gilmour Academy. For an hour each Saturday afternoon 6-8 players and Head Coach
Chris Wilk spend some time teaching prospective hockey players the skills they need to become better hockey players.
Junior
Nick Morici (Chicago, IL) likes the time in the program, "It's great to get on the ice with the kids. Everyone has fun and it's rewarding to see the kids improve each week."
For freshman
Jonathan Zoubek (Chicago, IL) it's his first experience teaching hockey skills to new players. "It's been a nice experience. Having never done this before, I didn't know what to expect. It's pretty awesome to have the kids look up to us college players."
