Over the past three seasons, the John Carroll men's golf team has competed in 29 tournaments. In 15 of those tournaments, the Blue Streaks have placed first. In ten other tournaments, they have finished either second or third.
Only four times in three years has JCU placed outside the top three finishers at the end of an event.
Two of those inexplicably have come at the OAC Championship Tournament, once in 2008 and again in 2010.
Despite winning a second consecutive OAC regular season title -- a 54-hole event spread over the fall and spring seasons -- John Carroll mustered a tie for fifth in the OAC Championship, hosted by Mount Union College Friday and Saturday at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.
