Five Blue Streaks Recognized Among 2010 Academic All-OAC Softball Selections
With a selection to the Academic All-OAC winners list, senior Laura Boselovic hauled in one final award for her softball career

A total of five Blue Streaks were among those recognized when the list of names for the 2010 Academic All-OAC Softball winners was released by the league office.
In a vote of the faculty athletics representatives from the ten member schools, seniors Laura Boselovic and Julie Marlowe were named Academic All-OAC winners, while juniors Katie Knox and Angela Vistocco as well as sophomore Michelle Murphy received honorable mention status.
Boselovic is a Political Science and Spanish double major with a 3.32 grade point average. A four-year letterwinner and starter, Boselovic played first base for John Carroll and batted .278 with 19 RBI. This is her first time selected as an Academic All-OAC winner.
Marlowe, who was also John Carroll's 2010 Clyde A. Lamb Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, carried a 3.83 grade point average as a Business Information Systems major. This past season, Marlowe batted ,328 with 38 hits and 30 runs scored. Marlowe was also an Academic All-OAc winner in 2009 and earned honorable mention status in 2008.
Heading the list of honorable mentions is Murphy, who was also a second team all-conference selection in 2010. Murphy batted .317 for the year with 37 runs and 30 RBI. She is a Business major with a 3.92 cumulative grade point average.
Vistocco is a first time honoree in terms of Academic All-OAC. An Accounting major with a 3.56 grade point average, Vistocco turned in a solid year for the Blue Streaks with a .322 batting average and a .417 on base percentage.
Knox appeared in 16 games during the course of the 2010 campaign, primarily as a pinch runner and plated six runs for the Blue Streaks. Knox is an Engineering Physics major with a 3.88 GPA.
To be eligible for Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point, be a starter or key reserve and be in at least her second year of participation in the sport.
