The 2010 John Carroll University Football annual "Blue Gold Game" (intrasquad football scrimmage) will get an added boost with the inception of an football alumni event that will run in conjunction with the game.

On August 21 at Don Shula Stadium, the football staff will conduct its annual scrimmage beginning at 9:00 am. After all the players on the team get their chance to log time on the field, the coaches will present a season preview, Mass will be celebrated on the field and a cookout for current players, their families with Football alumni will follow.

"This is a great opportunity for our alumni football players to engage with the program they were once a part of," said Tom Arth, Assistant Football Coach. "Having an event like this at the beginning of the season can only help our players connect to former Blue Streaks which is a support to our football team.  I remember getting a chance to meet some of the players that came before me when I wore #3 for the Blue Streaks and it meant a lot."
