Looking to get some experience against stellar competition the John Carroll University men's track and field team competed at the two-day Golden Flash Gala hosted by Kent State University on Friday and Saturday.
Alex Hamizadeh led the men's squad with a sixth-place showing in the men's pole vault clearing 4.60m/15-01.00.
The Blue Streaks sent two competitors to compete in the men's weight throw. Junior
Rocky Mitolo (16.13m/52-11.00) took 11th with
Nate Hunter (12.79m/41-11.50) placing 24th.
Connor Lynch and
Michael Hydzik both competed in the 400m. The duo finished back-to-back within seven hundredths of a second of each other with Lynch crossing first at 52.67.
The men's indoor track and field team will be back in action at the Baldwin Wallace Mid-January Meet on Saturday, Jan. 17.
