Drew Doring was named the OAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

The right-hander had a big-time performance on senior day against Marietta helping John Carroll to a 2-1 win in the second game of the twin bill.

Doring held the Pioneers to three hits in the complete game. He did not allow a hit until the sixth inning and fired 1-2-3 frames in innings two through five. Doring's run was unearned and he struck out eight.

With the win, Doring improved to 9-0 and tied the single-season wins record at JCU.

John Carroll (22-11) heads out on the road for an important three-game non-conference tilt against CWRU on Wednesday, April 29. The two teams will resume their April 6 suspended game at 2 p.m. CWRU leads the seven-inning game 6-5 in the top of the seventh. The two teams will then play two nine-inning games.
