John Carroll University Athletics

For the first time since 2007, John Carroll University will serve as the host institution of the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships

Gilmour Academy, a college-preparatory school located in Gates Mills, Ohio has been selected as the host site for the 2014 OAC Cross Country Championship to be held on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The men's 8,000-meter championship race will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., and the women's 6,000-meter championship race will begin at 12:00 noon.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to host the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on the campus of Gilmour," said John Carroll first-year head coach Kyle Basista."Our staff and administration our going to do our best to put on a first class event."

Locker Rooms:  If locker room access is needed back on the JCU campus, contact meet directors.

Rest Rooms:  Rest rooms inside the stadium will be open for use to all athletes, coaches, and spectators. Additional toilets will be available near the start line.

Parking: (campus map for reference) Team and spectator parking can be accessed off of SOM Center Road. entrance. Signage & volunteers will assist parking on day of meet.  

Courses:  Both courses will be marked with white boundaries when natural boundaries are not obvious.  Turns will be staked, arrows will be used for both races. Both races will be led by a motorized gator.   The course will be open 3:30 – 6:00 pm on Friday, October 31, for inspection.

Coaches Mtg: The coaches will meet at 5:30 pm on the course underneath the white medical tent near the finish line, or at a indoor location tbd depending on weather
